So, this is my take on the Dubai Port World deal. It's quite simple. Our country is running around all concerned about an intestinal issue, when in reality, our head has fallen off.

Ever the bait and switch. Today we will listen to stories about how Israel thinks UAE is trustworthy therefore we should too. We will not hear national news stories about how the genocide in the Sudan spilled over the borders this week and now involves the heavily refugee populated areas of Chad. We will hear more about the port deal than we will about the US Diplomat who was killed by a suicide bomber in Pakistan today, in what was likely a direct retaliation against Bush trying to make nice with India on his way to make nice with Pakistan.

We'll watch this video clip a few times on the news, but nationally have no real conversation about what to do when your president won't stop lying to you.
